We are an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management. Whether you are new to the HR field or have many years of experience, we are a local starting point for networking, information, professional development and continued support of excellence in Human Resources.

MD SHRM is proud to be recognized as a Platinum State Council for 2020! The award is part of the SHRM Affiliate Program for Excellence, which aligns individual chapters and councils’ activities with SHRM’s aspirations for the HR profession. The award recognizes accomplishments and strategic activities and initiatives that enhance the human resources profession. The EXCEL award can be earned at four levels: bronze, silver, gold and platinum, and each level has a prescribed set of requirements and accomplishments that have to be met.
MDSHRM is proud to be recognized as a Foundation State Council Champion for 2020! By supporting the SHRM Foundation, MDSHRM is empowering real social impact, allowing SHRM to continue to deliver on outreach initiatives that lead positive change affecting work, workers, and the workplace. We are also helping SHRM prepare the next generation of professionals for a future in HR. Our support will help the SHRM Foundation:
- Continue to engage and integrate military veterans in the workplace
- Deliver more than 300 scholarships in 2020 to HR professionals and students
- Advance workplace inclusion initiatives for individuals with disabilities
- Provide outreach that helps those formerly incarcerated as they are reintroduced to the workforce
