ABOUT THE PROGRAM & PRESENTER
Worksite wellness programs have progressed from 70’s era weight loss plans to today’s holistic programs which encompass both a spectrum of functions and measurements ranging from Health Insurance claims to impact on culture, absenteeism and recruiting. Whether a wellness program is designed as a core benefit, or adopted as a financial management strategy, there are common resources, barriers and best practices that can help employers to find the best solution for their employees… and bottom line.
Recent language under the ACA further defines the scope of employer wellness programs and gives additional flexibility in the design of impactful incentives. Using personal examples from companies throughout Maryland, and a variety of research data from experts in the health management field, Working in Wellness: The Evolution of Worksite Wellness Programs is designed to provide Human Resources’ leaders with a modern view of corporate wellness in a humorous, high-level and user-friendly way.
