Our MDSHRM State Council is again partnering with other SHRM state councils in New England and Mid-Atlantic states to offer low-cost, high-quality Webinars for HR professionals. They are preapproved for HRCI recertification credits and typically 1 hour in length with 9-11 webinars presented in a calendar year.  Our next one is Tuesday, June 24th from 1-2 p.m. and has been pre-approved for 1.0  HRCI BUSINESS renewal credit  toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute.

Our previous joint webinars were very successful. Our next one again scheduled for June 24th with the topic:

    Virtual Team Leadership

Working on virtual teams, where all or some team members are geographically dispersed, has become the “new normal” that many employees will face during their careers. Globalization, matrix structures, flexible work arrangements and contingent work forces have all helped drive this trend. There are high stakes for such teams to be successful, but the common challenges of teamwork are magnified as a consequence of distance, with the added complexity of cultural diversity and communication barriers.

Join us virtually on Tuesday, June 24, from 1 pm – 2 pm, when Marjorie Derven, managing partner at HUDSON Research & Consulting presents a practical toolkit to help virtual teams enhance the purpose, process and people components of effective teamwork to promote collaboration and problem solving, and achieve intended business goals.
