    Legal and Other Considerations for Conducting Effective Workplace Investigations

    Companies are devoting more time and resources to investigating claims of harassment, discrimination, and fraud, among other allegations of misconduct.  The appropriateness of a company's response may affect its liability and reputation.  It is important to develop strategies for conducting effective investigations and resolutions.  Topics will include understanding how to initiate investigations, select investigators, gather facts, preserve evidence, approach witnesses, analyze privileges, and address other issues.


     

    Participants should be able to:

    • Develop strategies and procedures for initiating and conducting effective investigations
    • Conduct and/or supervise effective investigations
    • Understand legal issues associated with investigations
    • Determine appropriate resoultions and follow up steps to investigations

     

    This program has been approved for 1.25 recertification credits by SHRM and through HRCI. Please bring a colleague with you! There will be an opportunity for networking with members and guests.  All attendees must register in advance.
