    About Rachel Druckenmiller, MS; Wellness Director, SIG 

    In February 2015, an elite panel of health and wellness industry experts and the  Wellness Council of America (WELCOA) selected Rachel as the #1 Health Promotion  Professional in the country.  It was Rachel’s vision for the future of the wellness  industry, her desire for leadership, and her innovative approach that set her apart.   Rachel has led the health wellness efforts at SIG since 2007. In her role, Rachel guides  SIG and their clients to “do wellness” differently with a focus on building a culture of  health as well as teaching nutrition education and healthy cooking in a way that is refreshing,  positive, interactive and fun.  With nearly a decade of experience in health and wellness and a  transformational personal story, Rachel leads and teaches with enthusiasm, energy, and passion for  being well. 

    Rachel has led both SIG and their clients to receive local and national wellness awards, including the  most recent WELCOA Well Workplace Award, a designation held by no other benefits consulting firm  in Maryland.  SIG has been recognized twice as one of Baltimore’s Healthiest Employers and three  times as an American Heart Association Gold?Level Fit Friendly Company.   Rachel is certified as a Wellness Culture Coach, Integrative Nutrition Health Coach (INHC), and  Culinary Nutrition Expert (CNE). She has a Master’s degree in Health Science with concentrations in  Community Health Education and Health Administration and holds a Bachelor’s degree in  Psychology. She has coauthored three health and nutrition articles that have been published in  academic journals. 

    Rachel also writes a blog called Rachel’s Nourishing Kitchen (www.rachelsnourishingkitchen.com).  She takes a refreshing approach about how to fuel and energize your life with delicious, energizing,  nourishing recipes, tips and tricks for healthy living, and hope and inspiration to be well and come  alive. Her blog was named one of the Top 50 Clean Food Blogs by the Academy of Culinary Nutrition.
